Robot Weld Programmer

Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Robot Weld Programmer/operator to join our team based at Blackwater. As a Robot Weld Programmer, you will be responsible for the setting up and operating robotic welding machines to produce a variety of fabricated components. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme, operate and maintain robotic welding machines
  • Inspect and ensure weld quality
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment and processes
  • Train and assist other operators in robotic welding
  • Test and validate robot programmes to ensure proper functionality and performance
  • Identify and resolve programming issues.
     

Requirements

  • Previous experience in robotic welding or a related field.
  • 2+ years MIG experience (a weld test will be carried out on interview).
  • Experience working with various thickness materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • The ability to hit deadlines and achieve daily production schedules.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment, and be physically able to cope with typical factory duties including manual handling loads.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment
  • Assist with other duties as and when required
